A scrap works found on the walk to Guri Tower from my house.

One day I cycled from Guri to Hong Dae following the Han river. Took about 3 hours with a few stops.
around Oksu station.. underneath all the highways and bridges there was this old guy with a cowboy hat sat with his portable amp and keyboard. just improvising over a single beat.. had a very strange and melancholic vibe to it.

I walked through a room of Paik Nam Jung’s works at the restrospective exhibition at the museum/gallery built in his honour.

self explanatory. i love all the bike ‘gangs’ which gather there. crazy neon lighting and speakers pumping out bassey hip hop. but I think the sound of a motorbike engine is the most interesting thing..

Had a session with another of my colleagues.. she was on the drum and me on the sogeum flute and tanso..
the natural reverb created under the tunnel really added to it all..
This was the last recording I made of the sogeum before I lost it at a festival.
